CGI U Application Checklist

Step 1: Identify the type of CGI U application to submit.

Students interested in attending the CGI U Meeting can apply as either an individual or a student group.

We recommend previewing PDF's of both the individual and the group application.

An individual application must include a commitment that is proposed by an individual student who decides to take action on an issue of importance to him or her.

A student group application must include a commitment that is a collaborative effort by more than one student.

Step 2: Prepare your Commitment to Action.

To be considered for admission, all applicants are required to make a Commitment to Action. A Commitment to Action is a concrete step that makes a difference in the areas of Education, Environment & Climate Change, Peace & Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, or Public Health.

As part of the application, students are asked to provide a detailed plan that outlines the scope of the commitment and how it will be implemented.

Step 3: Fill out our online application.

The deadlines for the CGI U 2010 application are:

• Early decision deadline: November 20, 2009

• Final deadline: February 22, 2010

All students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
